For Contractors

Walkthroughs with reviewed homeowners — not raw lead lists

United Build Partners reviews every homeowner request before you ever see it — ownership status, location, project type, budget range, and timeline. When a project fits your trade and territory, we introduce you to the homeowner and arrange a walkthrough. You're never bidding blind against a dozen names off a purchased list: each introduction goes to no more than three contractors.

How the model works

Homeowners come to us to understand what their property can support. We review each request — confirming the basics like ownership status, ZIP code, ADU type, budget range, and timeline — and talk with the homeowner before anything is shared. If the project isn't realistic, we tell the homeowner that directly, and you never hear about it. That filtering is the point: what reaches you is a homeowner who owns the property, understands roughly what the project costs, and asked to talk to a contractor.

When a project fits your profile, we introduce you and arrange a walkthrough. You pay a flat $150 fee per walkthrough we arrange — not per inquiry, and not for names on a list. If the homeowner hires you, a success fee applies, set out in our compensation guide — ask for the full schedule when you reach out. The construction contract is entirely between you and the homeowner; we never negotiate or sign on either side's behalf.

What we expect before your first introduction

Every contractor in the network clears the same four checks we describe publicly to homeowners — so clearing them is what makes the introduction worth something.

Active CSLB license and insurance. A license in good standing, plus general liability and workers' compensation coverage appropriate to your operation.
A real ADU or residential track record. Completed projects you can show and talk through — not just a portfolio slide.
References and responsive communication. Homeowners judge the network by how you communicate. Contractors who go quiet on homeowners don't stay in it.
Written, itemized estimates. Clear scope and documentation practices. Homeowners are told to expect them, and to compare bids line by line.

Where we operate

Current service area

We accept homeowner requests across select Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside County communities, with San Diego County planned next. Introduction volume in any territory depends on homeowner demand and fit — we don't guarantee a number of introductions, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than promise volume we can't verify.

Frequently asked questions

You pay a flat $150 fee for each homeowner walkthrough we arrange, plus a success fee when a homeowner hires you — the full schedule is set out in our compensation guide, which we'll share when you reach out. You don't pay for raw inquiries or for homeowners who never reach a walkthrough.

A purchased lead is a name and a phone number, sold to you and everyone else who paid. An introduction from us is a homeowner we've already reviewed and spoken with — ownership confirmed, budget range and timeline on record — shared with at most three contractors, with a walkthrough on the calendar. You're paying for an appointment, not a spreadsheet row.

No. Introductions depend on homeowner demand in your territory and how well projects fit your trade, capacity, and track record. We cap each homeowner introduction at three contractors, which means fewer, better-matched opportunities rather than volume.

You and the homeowner, directly. United Build Partners is not a contractor and is not a party to the construction agreement — we don't negotiate terms, set your pricing, or sign anything on either side's behalf.
