What your answers flagged

This screen is based only on your fourteen answers — it isn't a parcel review, and it can't tell you what your specific lot qualifies for. Zoning, easements, utilities and overlays are confirmed at the property-review stage and, finally, by your city. Nothing here is legal advice.

How this works: each answer either clears a common ADU consideration or flags it for a closer look, drawing on the same researched guides linked in your results. The tiers are qualitative on purpose — any "percent approval likelihood" from fourteen questions would be made up, and we don't do that.

What the feasibility check is weighing

The questions cover the four things that decide most ADU projects: your lot (space, access, existing structures), your goal (rental income, family, home office, added value), your budget and timeline, and your appetite for the process. Together they point you toward a realistic path — or an honest "not yet" — the same first-pass an experienced advisor runs before anyone talks money.

It's a starting read, not a permit determination or a guarantee. The only way to know what your specific parcel supports is to check it against your city's rules — which is exactly what a free property review does. If you're still choosing between unit types, the Which ADU quiz compares them in about a minute, and the cost estimator gives you a budget range to plan around.

This check is educational and general — not legal, financial, or construction advice, and not a substitute for confirming the rules and numbers for your property.
