About Us

We work for the homeowner first.

United Build Partners is a Southern California ADU advisory and contractor-introduction service. We're not a construction company and we're not a lead-reseller — we're the independent first opinion that comes before you talk to anyone, and the short list of vetted contractors that comes after. Homeowners don't pay us directly — participating contractors compensate UBP.

Why we exist

Building an ADU is one of the biggest decisions a homeowner can make — and the way you're expected to start is backwards. Most people either cold-call contractors who are, understandably, selling their own services, or hand their details to a lead-generation site that sells them to a dozen companies at once. Either way, the homeowner is the least-informed person in the room, making a six-figure decision without an independent read on whether it even makes sense.

We built United Build Partners to put an advisor in that room first. Before anyone tries to sell you anything, we give you an honest look at what your property can realistically support, what it's likely to cost, and whether the return is there — including a straight "not yet" when that's the real answer. Only if it's a genuine fit do we introduce you to a short list of contractors we've already vetted.

What we're here to do

Give homeowners the honest first opinion the ADU process never gave them.

What we believe

Five principles shape every property review and every introduction we make. They're also the reason we can afford to tell you the truth.

Advice before sales
The first conversation is about your property and your goals — not a pitch. You get an independent read before anyone tries to win the job.
No direct homeowner fees
You won't receive a UBP invoice for the property review or the introductions, and there's no obligation. Participating contractors compensate UBP.
We'll tell you no
If an ADU isn't a good fit for your lot, your budget, or your timeline, we say so. A bad-fit project helps no one in our network.
Vetted, not voluminous
We'd rather introduce you to up to three contractors who meet clear standards for licensing, insurance, experience, and communication than a long directory of anyone with a license.
One advisor, start to finish
The same person from your first question through your introductions — not a rotating call center or a form that vanishes into a queue.
Plain, honest information
Every cost range and figure on this site is framed as a planning estimate, not a promise. We'd rather under-claim than mislead you into a decision.

How we're different from a lead site

If you've filled out an online form for home projects before, you know the pattern: your phone doesn't stop ringing. We're built to be the opposite of that.

A typical lead site
Sells your contact details to as many companies as will pay for them.
Leaves you to vet strangers yourself, from a long unscreened list.
Has no opinion on whether your project even makes sense.
Hands you off to a call center or a queue.
United Build Partners
Introduces you to up to three contractors matched to your project — not a dozen.
Vets every contractor first for license, insurance, track record, and communication.
Gives you an honest read on whether an ADU is a fit before any introduction.
Keeps one advisor with you from first question to final decision.

How we make money — in plain sight

The reason we can put your interests first is structural: homeowners don't pay us directly, so we're not trying to sell you a build. Participating contractors compensate UBP when we introduce them to a genuinely qualified homeowner, and they determine their own project pricing independently. There are no hidden homeowner fees and no selling your information to the highest bidder.

We think you should be able to see exactly how that works before you trust us with anything, so we wrote it all down. Read how we make money →

Where we work

We focus exclusively on Southern California ADUs — Los Angeles County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire (San Bernardino and Riverside counties). That focus is deliberate: ADU rules, costs, and rental markets are intensely local, and we'd rather know a handful of counties deeply than claim to cover everywhere.

Check your city

We publish city-specific ADU guidance across our service area, drawn from official municipal sources. See the full service area, or start with the free property review for a read on your specific lot. Questions first? Call 714-705-6901.

Start with an honest first opinion

Tell us about your property and goals. You'll get a straight answer about what's realistic — at no cost, with no obligation to move forward.
